THE FOUNDER :
Blessed alfonso Maria Fusco (1939-1910 A.D) was a simple and a diocesan priest in Italy. He came up with a solution to the needs of the poor and challenges they faced within the social and political context of his time. Humble and confident, he opened himself with docility as a mediator of a bold project – to redeem and comfort the children who were poisoned by poverty, condemned to ignorance and moral degradation. The congregation of the sisters started by him has become an international family of more than 900 sisters. The baptistine sisters continued to be passionate about his project and work in 17 nations. The present school of the indian province iconizes the response to his concern for the orphans and poor—a response given in an everlasting, dynamic manner.
