Is there a manual way to add the device on HP Smart or a stand alone scanner app? I was finally able to get it all set up with this information. Enter the device type and model name of your HP product It adds one, but says the Laser is powered off. I need this in order to set up the shortcut to Scan to Email.

Additional Tips

I cannot get the printer to show up in the app so I can't use any functions through the app. If you're using a Wi-Fi-connected HP printer, this is crucial for ensuring the printer can communicate with your PC. Blue wifi light on printer  keeps flashing but  won’t connect. IMHO the web pack plus Windows printer solution was much easier. This time (not running as admin) it prompted me right away to allow location, before reaching the point of "Add printer" and worked like a dream.
